Y2 Constructivist Style Posters

This exercise is conceived as a composition and art direction exploration.

Students are to research into the style and then apply their interpretations into a present day movie poster, but reminiscent of the style of soviet constructivists such as Rodchenko or Stenberg Brothers. This is done by going beyond the mere visual approach, but in order to emulate this style, they go to understanding the historic matrix and production techniques that as limitations or assets constructivist designers used in their time.
