This piece was done for the first Motion Graphics exercise in Year 2 by Ken Uchida.
Students are taught several principles of music theory beforehand so they can understand rhythm and then apply it to animation timings for their pieces. It is also their first experience using After Effects as an Animation and Motion Graphics platform.
