This proposed scheme had several objectives in mind: To diversify the student’s exploration paths into several disciplines into the syllabus, as requested by Students and Industry, such as specialization in Motion Design and VFX, while keeping the overall production scheme relatively intact.
Another objective of this proposal was to strengthen and introduce early the cumbersome 3D technical skills in order to give students time to even up their Maya learning curve, which was before compressed only after the 3rd year. Last, but not least, art support and supervision were to be expanded throughout the career and not left exclusively to the foundation levels, smoothing the learning curves between art, tech and storytelling requirements, allowing students to produce a full 4 to 6 minutes 3D animated movie by the end of the career, and doing so, meeting industry international standards and those set by Supinfocom Rubika in France.
