Music is a spectacle, but music is also feeling, timing, rhythm, life! No wonder how music and animation are essentially two aspects of the same experience. Movement comes with rhythm and harmony.
Most of us have firstly came across classical and orchestral music as kids by watching cartoons. Then Soundtracks become the emotional backdrop for film language. Music consitutes a storytelling code in itself, and cartoon music has its own aesthetic and mood swing. Creating music for animation has always had its own perks and challenges, and there have been masters at it, which imprinted our memories with treasured moments.
Music to animation is exactly the same as music to opera! Then classical and orchestral music has the greatest range of emotional and expressive possibilities.
